While I'm a great fan of your playing generally, here I think you miss the beauty of what Scrapper Blackwell was doing on guitar. Of course, he had Carr to play rhythm on piano and sing, so its different from trying to get both parts into a solo performance. Still, as Dylan once said, Scrapper Blackwell was a truly great musician who did deserve more recognition than was ever given to him. Perhaps you should listen again to a couple more pieces where SB is playing.
