saw them play together in Chapel Hill in 96 or so??? Alkaline blew the roof off when they played this. i'd never heard of them before, became an instant fan. Hot Water destroyed us. even played an encore for us. wish i could find that vhs tape.....oh drugs and alcohol.....

Whether Chuck is the greatest singer is up to interpretation, but i doubt anyone who seriously listens to him can deny he is the most emotionally powerfull. Everything he sings you actually believe.

I've always liked this cover much much more than the original. The harsh gruffness of Chuck's voice just seems to fit the emotion better.

I heard this first, too and I'm growing to like the original. It was in the midst of a break up and HWM's power and emotion that they bring to this song was just what the doc ordered, ha! Conversely, I tend to prefer A3's version of 'Rooftops' better, cuz it's faster. #win-win:D
