I think my brother Bill was the one who first brought this album to my attention. I must have been about 16 and I'm now 62. Doesn't seem possible. How many lives have gone in the past 45 years? Thanks for posting this song, you keep the memories alive!!

Tall and witty Native American Paul was lost to skin cancer today. He has two young sons. Each new grief recalls that old. I have lost many.

I listened to this when I was in high school. It shook me to the core and now I'm 60 and it still runs chills down my spine. I'll tell you a true thing right now. The B.S. comes and goes but when something is true and real and viable, no storm, nor time, nor calamity will uproot it. When we as human beings, become like that, truly, there ain't no grave that will hold our bodies down...........

Thanks for listening and appreciating! Unfortunately, I can't put the whole record on youtube, because I've received a few warnings from the YT staff: if I upload copyrighted material they'll close my account. Buy the record! :)

thanks so much for putting this in here, I have been looking for this for ages ! can we have the rest of the songs too? they are worth it ! this must be one of my ten favourite ever records in any style of music. I cant believe it wasnt a million seller. it was one of the hallmarks and legends of the ending sixties, a total inspiration to me and all my friends then !and still today it sounds unique and fantastic. what superb playing !

It's funny how the blues can sometimes make you feel better when things are bad.

This was my introduction to Hot Tuna back in the early 80's. What a great place to start! I saw them live lots of times (20? 30?) - the scariest being in about 92 in Columbia South Carolina when Jorma must have weighed less than 100 pounds and looked like he was about to cash in his last chip. Then I saw them a few years later at the Sweetwater in Mill Valley, and he was happy, chubby, and much healthier looking all around. It was a relief to see he pulled out of all the shit he was in.
