I think it's great that Johnny has these videos up but at the end of the day they don't assist with "how to". It seems to be more a matter of "watch me play" and "how clever is Johnny". It would be great if the majority of his stuff showed how he achieves his sound and the inflections he uses. The tunes are great but as a learning saxophonist, I will never play like that unless I'm shown how. 10 years ago

Well I have to take my hat off to Johnny. I was not playing or practicing and one day I was asked to play alongside Australian Jazz trumpet player, James Morrison. So I was in a panic. I stumbled on Johnny so I ended up purchasing online his albums so I could get a feel for jazz again. Well now I am hooked on playing again. Thanks again Captain Ferreira.
