This is incorrect. During the Live Through This tour, they used an A5 variation from the second fret, a Cmaj7 chord hitting all the bass notes, then quickly to a Cadd9 before the Gmaj that hits all the bass notes of that chord. This was played through the chorus, until the "I want to be the girl with most cake.." part was sung. Then they fully strum the Gmaj chord after "cake, break, hate, fake, ache" bit was sung. Now, in Courtney's solo tour she uses an Am, Cmaj, Gmaj progression, but it's not the Live Through This album version. "Doll Parts" was also recorded with Courtney Love (on rhythm) using a 12 string guitar. Hole also used chorus, rotary, and distortion pedal effects during the Live Through This tour, however it was just played clean in the album (although I personally believe a pitch shifter was used to get those crisp bass notes for the three original chords).

Da tuner lite app for tuning. Also, Cut an oport with a hole saw (put the drill in reverse to prevent tear out ....then sand the edges and sharpie the new edge.). You will get a better sound. It will put out the same decibels...the guitar can breathe and bring out the harmonics. It is also the best way to retrieve a pick from inside the guitar. Cheers! Check port man's oports on youtube. This is not my video but it is kind of the way I do this, even when i use a wobbly drill. Easiest upgrade on a guitar!
