Just saw them live a few weeks ago and it was a decent show. Marshall is no Austin but, the show was enjoyable and he did a good job making fan favorites his own. The new disc though, just not feeling it at all. There's no snarl, no umph! They peaked with All American Nightmare, at least as far as current released go. Whether they ever find that old mojo again, or if they can find it again without Austin, I don't know. But "When the Smoke Clears" all sounds pretty generic to me and light compared to earlier material. Still a fun live show but, I don't see myself buying their new music until I hear something with some heavier punch to it. Two or three good guitar solos and a couple of all-too-short somewhat heavy riffs before softening for the vocal parts was about it on this new release that I found enjoyable. Ah well. Better luck with your next release guys.

i think it's not bad but i wouldn't listen to it a second time , it didn't give me emotion like old hinder songs who are performed by the awesome and unique Austin Winkler , i'm a huge fan of the old Hinder , i don't marshell is even close to Austin's raw voice , if there has to be a new Hinder i think i'll prefer it with Neal Nolan cos he did a great job in " hit the ground" , i didn't like the version of marshell of "hit the ground" sorry .

wow this is brutal, music is great but cant stand the new country pop vocalist they got ... u can still imagine winklers voice there and honestly songs are still great but not for this guys voice this will be the first hinder music i wont be buying this is painful to listen too

Come on guys! Yeah, it's not Winkler, but Dutton has an awesome voice too...it's a different type of voice, that's all. I'm still going to buy the new album, because I still like Hinder

No one needs to "relax" about this change and give them a chance. Listen to them; they have that type of singer that comes and goes like a substitute. I've heard many bands that feel like this when someone has this vocal tone; overall, if this was another band, it would be fine. But Hinder's old vocalist had that amazing voice, that even if the lyrics sucked, or if the music wasn't good, that voice just made it awesome. Now, this guy's voice is just... completely different and simple. Hinder played "some" of my top 100 songs, and now this guy makes it sure there won't be more favorites from them if he stays as the vocalist. They can still play well, but altogether it's not like Hinder with this vocalist. They should change their group name if this guy stays and not disgrace the band name of Hinder.
