i realized they ve changed their way of sounding a bit . Its less melodic , tuned lower , sort of an 'american commercial heavyness' on it , with few variations in one heavy tone . I prefer the original Hibria . Heavy , deep , melodical when its necessary , heavyness when its needed , terrible and astonishing solos , and metal screams !

I think this album was a deliberate attempt to market into the American metal scene. Don't get me wrong: look at who's big the US right now... (and not who you think is big - it's who is selling the most. It's bands like Killswitch.) Their guitars are tuned lower than they were in the previous albums. The singer is keeping the 80s-ness to a minimum and the choruses more hooky. Admittedly, every band winds up recording a "sell-out" album. This is Hibria's.

The skull collectors and defying the rules are both like top 5 metal albums. This is big shitpile creamed with the best singer in the world.

Man, they've really gone to shit since Defying the Rules. There's so much garbage going on with the instruments... you can really hear it with good headphones. It's cluttered as fuck. It's a shame because this vocalist is FUCKING AWESOME. Especially too, their live videos... that voice is really what you hear is what you get. Doesn't look like he needs 50 takes or a studio to hit those notes.
