This song was written by Carole King and Gerry Goffin. It became a hit for Freddie Scott in 1963 and was redone by the Righteous Brothers in 1966. Numerous artists have covered it since then. George Benson adds a jazz twist to this bluesy R&B standard.

this song was first sung by Freddie Scott in 1963 i was only 8, just know it was nice and the words are amazing exspecially for someone who is losing the love of their life and have i lost a t love I have, and this song makes me smile because what i was feeling was not unusual and i will love again and if not then it just was not meant to be. Nice rendition by George Benson. My first time hearing it.
