I used to dislike this type of music until I picked up a guitar. Learning how to play and how to write a song showed me to appreciate the technicality of this genre of music. I used to think it's just a bunch of screaming that shit is something anyone can do and in fact anyone can scream but not everyone can make it sound good. Screaming comes from your throat that why you lose your voice when if you do it too long. This type of singing comes from your your stomach just like normal singing. Making the vocals for a song like this and the guitar parts to compliment the voice and the way it's sung is no easy task. So for people that like to talk down on something you don't understand, educate yourselves. Don't jump in the band wagon and talk shit just cause everyone else does too and you don't want to be singled out.
