Major hit single in New Zealand outselling the worldwide number one hit by Chubby Checker which itself was a cover of the 1959 original release in America by Hank Ballard and the Midnighters. Herma Keil and The Keil Isles originally from Samoa released much music in the early sixties and were very popular throughout New Zealand bringing the swinging sixties to a Kiwi audience.
