If you look at Wikipedia you will see the Sunlight musos. They're all of the highest order to me of course Herbie is the main man. Byron Miller is a monster funk player as well, but this leads to Paul Jackson who i feel created something very special with his funkiness. His bass lines and way he grooves are it to me. Every note he played and his huge ears, contributed so much to everything about this album.Paul influenced every player that was into funk, even the now famous ones. I've heard a lot of modern day bass players that can read anything, can do backflips and somersaults, however the groove is not there for me. I think a lot of bass players are playing the wrong instrument. They should be playing guitar.
