@Malpractice2003 I've always thought it was a song about scoring a drug fix. Street Crab being being the drug dealer pusher that "infects the water" meaning he is unavoidable. The first paragraph describes someone needing a fix. "Thirst I had at last, run the water". The second paragraph reads like someone who's gotten their fix" Safe and sound, like the perfect food" Then it later goes on to describe the street crab in a unipersonal light : "Every street crab will push the Vowels the same

@Malpractice2003 I think the key line in the song is when he sings: "I'm not making sense/Just ignore me". I don't think Page places a lot of importance on the meaning of the the lyrics. Whatever meaning you take from the lyrics is worth a lot more than whatever he could want you to hear.

Ah the Helmet years. Notice the freedom of the stage divers. In 95 you could still do that and not get beat, tazed and thrown out by security.
