OMG, I can't believe THIS is the origin of Cyndi's version! I never knew it existed! This dear, sweet voice sounds EXACTLY like Cyndi's version! What a wonderful surprise this is!

He is gay. We live in an age where black is white, and if you disagree with that, you have a serious problem.

All these gay comments are definitely a sign of the times. This song is from the 1929 movie, Sweetie. Wherein her unromantic boyfriend is "So Unusual" that "he drives her wild" - he prefers football to petting! Which is kissing and caressing.

This song is so unintentionally funny, and yet it's ironically timeless with her very usual issue (what theater girl hasn't been in her shoes), I wish someone would make a parody music vid of this showing these incidents with her oh so unusual beau,or better yet this would make for one hilarious Twilight music vid (talk about an "unusual" guy haha) Anyways, it's so refreshing not to hear autotune voices

IIRC, the song was in public domain and the writer wasn't credited. So we all thought it was an original done in the 1920s style. Even our drama teacher didn't know the song, and there was no internet back then
