A prog. metal band formed in 1983 under the name Sapien, that later changed their name to Nemesis and a few months later to Heir Apparent. They released an excellent debut and an even better second album, actually one of my all time favourites, before disbanding in late 1989. The second album sounds very different from the first one, mainly due the inclusion of keyboards and the change of the lead singer, who sounds just like John Arch.

In 1999, guitarrist Terry Gorle reformed the band with a different line-up and said they were working on a new album for a 2002-2003 release that never materialized, though he managed to re-release all their original albums remastered, including Triad, a demo session previously only available on tape.

Thank you very much Necro, that is the reason I love to write music. I remember what certain songs made me feel like (AWESOME!!) and I hoped if I could ever give that feeling to anyone, ever that was worth all the sacrifice and shit I put up with to write it. Again thank you very much. Michael J. Keyboardist and composer

I think if I could ever write ONE song of that magnitude, I'd then simply stop playing altogether just to keep me from spoiling it with other songs in the future.

Listen to the versions of "Matter Over Mind" "Sweet City Child" and hear what a good gutarist with a good attitude did. Terry ruined the band unfortunately and can't keep a lineup together, ashame because things could've been very different and there couldve been a lot more great music from us!!

@whiteeagle1973made I listened to another version, probably from the original 89's OSV wich has a different end with more guitar solo and lyrics too. They cut that 'expanded' end when the album was remastered.

masterpiece - I just have the impression that the song fades quickly during the solo - I wish it was more lengthy
