Music video created for the Hurtwood Prize video competition.

When I interpreted the song, I felt the specific repeated lyrics 'are we so different' applies to our society so much in the way that we are constantly segregating and dividing subcultures, as being anything other than the 'norm'. This is why I based my story line about a traditional gypsy girl (a culture that the media often shines a bad light on) who feels isolated and detached following the death of her mother. The human emotion aspect of it shows that we are not different, and we are all human going through the same things one way or another. Whilst trying to make amends with her death she gets lots of warm flashbacks.

Hi! Thank you very,very much I appreciate it :D This is in West Sussex, at a place called West Dean. It's truly beautiful up there and I was lucky to have these surroundings! Hahahaha it was some of the only sun we've had all holidays! I saw your video and thought the editing was very impressive, i definitely wouldn't have been able to do that! I wasn't actually there until the very end so I don't think I met you but that's definitely my family you are talking about :) Yes I have a lot of respect and admiration for Romani culture and find it disgusting how the media have produced such bad unexplored connotations surrounding it. I met your dad today at the fair (and maybe you? I was the feller with black hair by the horses, asking about the bowtop wagon). My uncle and I were talking to him about his restored Burton wagon, and after he realised we were Romani he suggested I search your video. It's very good! And I'm really glad to finally see a few people thinking for themselves, and forming their own opinion about actual Romanies. It was lovely to meet your family today, and hopefully the same for them.
