This is dedicated to anyone who is unable to be with the one they love at Christmas. In particular for all the members of all the armed forces and their families, for whom Christmas is probably one of the hardest times of the year to be apart.
This track, originally by Erasure, is from 1988 and was part of their Crackers International E.P. It was a very upbeat, dance track, but always held a deeper, sad, heart wrenching theme for me. This track has been revisited/remixed on Erasures SNOWGLOBE album, released Nov 2013. I have tweaked the video (I did it some time ago mid summer) to give it a "SNOWGLOBE" association.
Another mashup/remix by MATT POP was put up on youtube a short while back, which is a great upbeat version of the original too (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c3aamr1hByk). All in all this is a gem of a Christmas track, with loads of sentiment!
The vocals on this version are by Al "Roald" Hughes his youtube channel is: http://www.youtube.com/user/MisterROALD
and the arrangement and rework by myself David Buffel.
We hope you have a wonderful Christmas...even if you can't be with the one you love.
