The video stars actress/musician Jena Malone (Into the Wild, Pride & Prejudice, Donny Darko) with a cameo by singer/songwriter Henry Wolfe. Shot on 8 mm film in the hills of Echo Park, LA's new bohemian hub, and drenched in golden light, the video recalls the romantic quality of the great films of the 1970s -- a perfect fit for Harper's classic sounding folk-rock love song written to a friend.

Directed by Benjamin Kutsko.

Isn't this song about Seven MacDonald (Country Joe's daughter), who was Harper's girlfriend in the early '90s?

I love this song. I do hope the future holds more of this kind of magic for Haper Simon. Wonderful voice.

Its got to be hard growing up the son of one of the most famous and successful singer/song writer's in the world because anything you do in that same field will be compared however using 'Juniper & Crinoline' in your song which your father also used in his is, well inviting the comparisons.

Songwriting isn't often autobiographical. I confess I've written 3 songs about being a murderer, but I can't confess to being a murderer (except the occasional ant sqwuished under foot). Songwriting's about telling stories. If he wasn't Paul Simon's son, and he wrote the same song, would you still judge as you do? I've written tons of songs that sound like my influences, which very much includes Paul Simon. One of Harpers influences happens to be that same guy, who happens to be his dad.

Hi Mrs.R.,when I was re-arranging the Art books in Waterstones yesterday(unpaid),they started playing this gorgeous song.Thought you might like to hear it.You could substitute Berkley for Oxford,it works just as well. I know you like S&G,so should be right up your street. All my Love Sweetheart.xxxxxxxx.

I'd be happy if I had money. It's a song about a girl who 'believed in him' but left him anyway and he's still in love with her. It's a song about a slut.
