I wanted to send this in a private message, but is there any way I could get a lossless copy of this? Whether you're pointing me to a torrent, or dropboxing it...this is just so beyond amazing, and I need it for my collection.

This is the kind of song I'd like to play to all those people who go "Beck's gone soppy!" when they hear Sea Change (or Morning Phase, for the matter) and all they ever knew was Loser. People don't realise that he has always written folky, acoustic songs. He wrote this when he was in his early 20s and the melody is simply beautiful, his finger-picking brilliant and his singing heartfelt. The lyrics are melancholic and deep, for a young guy of that age, as he sings about soul-destroying dead-end jobs, and struggles when prospects are few. Something he knew too well, back then. With no formal education, no connections and zero opportunities, the future must have looked bleak. But luckily for him (and us!), here was where his talent and his future lay.

I don't even know how many times I've listened to this. There's just something about it that keeps me coming back.
