off my fucking rocker to this at the end of the 80s some grass and Jack n Jills i thought i had solved the problems of humanity .a fine fine piece of music it was a time of change a pop and youth culture explosion drenched in hedonism , drug use and human decency mostly a fantastic time to be a teenager and god although im very happy mostly just one more weekend with a time machine and id die a happier man , What a time .pity about Brit pop apaert from Blur mostly it was shit bloody Roses went to sleep

Always thought this was Happy Mondays at their best. Remember listening to it once driving over the snake pass from Sheffield to Manchester and it sounded fucking amazing.

Oh good grief. You'll never get the context hearing it for the first time NOW. Sorry I know you mean well by delving into "offshoots" and all...

'Cos I haven't got a turntable anymore or any equipment to convert this to digital. Someone should collect all the early Monday's tunes and release them as an LP, like they did with ACR.

The more I peer into the realm of British rock, the more I find offshoots that fascinate me...like this beat here! Wow! Groovy stuff!

Cheers man. I'll never decide, both are equally important to me. That's me learning Do It Better on the guitar now. All the best from Glasgow, Tropical Paradise.

for me i was always a bigger Mondays fan that Roses, early Mondays was great whereas the Roses early stuff on Garage Flower didn't appeal to me, though they did come good in the end but my heart will always say Mondays!!!

Sorry, I replied to myself lol. The reply to you is here on the comments. The question remains in my head... who was better, the Roses or the Mondays, as the Mondays up to '88 are a match for the Roses '87- 90.

Cheers. Those breaks were like half 2 to half 5, and after my lunch I'd wander round The Town as we call it. Floyd's The Narrow Way stoned, Xmas lights, pitch black at 5pm just brought the acid BACK TO ME hahaha. Then I'd stroll into work for my evening shift...
