I saw a copy of the LP at a thrift store recently. Merle Travis wrote the liner notes. Hank Thompson asked him to play on the album. Glen Campbell also played on it. The back cover also had photos of Thompson in clown makeup. It was his frst album on Warner Brothers. He recut this song and some others for his 25th Anniversary Album on ABC (later MCA) Records.

What has happened to good and fantastic country/western like this? A 45 year old song, still sounds pretty good to these old ears. R.I.P. Hank, you're still popular with many of us old timers.
