This has been a long time coming! I did 2 other covers of this theme song before (which were more true to the original) but something just didn't sit right with them. I mean, the original is amazing - so why try and re-create that emotion of EPIC AWESOME when it was already done so well?!

I decided to take it to a different extreme - the jazz inspired "pizazz" feel. My thoughts are - the kids that grew up on Pokemon are pretty much adults at the moment so why not have a version you can sip a glass of wine to in the evening and remissness?

I also wrote a third verse for the song - trying to put into words the way that Pokemon made 'me' feel when I watched it.

I really hope you all enjoy my cover. I sung it into my Sennheiser e840 mic (with a pop filter) while sitting at my computer but the video you see here is me singing along to the song (multiple times) to get the different camera angles.

I wore ridiculously red lipstick because I wanted to put a black and white filter over the top and key in the red to make it look more 1950's-ish but my computer is so slow and awkward to use, I'm just lucky this finished exporting! As my twitter and facebook followers would know... I winged enough about the hardship of an old computer while editing this together. :p
