It all depends on what version and what translation of the bible you are reading.To know what the Bible actually says you'd have to learn ancient Hebrew. Every other version is an interpretation of something that has been passed down for centuries. And you really take it word by word? Please. The only thing that book teaches us is to be a good man and to respect each other. Everything else is just stories to scare little kids and people who are stupid enough to take this shit literally.

Um. The Bible says that whoever believes shall have eternal life. Those who don't believe shall perish. Only those who put their faith in Christ will be saved. You must repent and believe. You have to confess your sins to Him. A non believer can't do that since they don't believe this. And because they don't do this out of doubt, they aren't saved.
