Helmet Never tried to recreate Strap it On or Meantime....They wen't for a way more broad audience with commercial attempts.....Didn't work. Still as great as Hammerhead is, they NEVER wrote a Meantime, or Strap it On. Plus Paige Hamilton cannot be topped!

Comparing Hammerhead to Helmet is apples and oranges. They both kill! We played with Hammerhead in the AmRep days......Unreal. Now Live Helmet? There is no comparison. They (Helmet) were one of the few bands with the superior musicianship they had, playing the noise rock genre. Both kill it none the less. Helmet did influence more bands than most, and were kinda AmReps golden boys.

To each his own. I think Helmet still rules. And strangely enough, this song sounds like a noisy Helmet to me. Which is probably what your argument with "fuckoffallposers" (some people's kids) was about, but I just wanted to chime in.

I digress, Helmet sucks (now). Strap it on - Meantime, no suck. Betty and beyond suck. Helmet live - sucks. I had high hopes for their "retun to drop E" sound, but Size Matters blew donkeys.

These guys kicked the living S@#T out of Helmut in '94 @ first avenue in Mpls.I should know, I was there... And yes the "typo" is intentional.

@jesperjensen2012 They are like a grittier Helmet. Similar...but Helmet were more about the tightness-perfection kinda...Hammerhead , while similar were always more rough and "live".

damn why did this band never get any special recognision while they were cool ? , my oppinion is they were just as kick as as Helmet , i even go so far to say they were better than Helmet in the Sander days
