Goofus

Lyrics by Gus Kahn, Music by Wayne King and William Harold

Guy Lombardo and His Royal Canadians

December 20, 1932

Brunswick 6466

Goofus was composed by bandleader and "Waltz King" Wayne King and his violinist William Harold, with lyrics by Gus Kahn. Originally recorded by Wayne King on 11/6/1930.

The Royal Canadians play this one straight with an upbeat tempo, and gratefully Carmen isn't asked to sing the corny lyrics.
