Perhaps it might be helpful to explain to people about how the Root, 4th and 5th are major and the 2nd 3rd and 6th are minor with the 7th being a diminished chord. This lesson will leave most people short of being able to determine the key. Not enough info is given here. Your point about understanding resolution however is very good. If another video was done to complete this lesson, it would be good.

nice, i have question, i know that if i'm in the key of G major, i can use the G major scale, and the E natural minor scale, but how do i figure out which modal scale works in that key ? does it have something to do with the notes in the given chord progression ? or is there an over all modal scale that will work.

The G major and E minor pentatonic scales are the same

so can you use the key of G and E to solo? Or just use the relative minor of the key to solo??? Also how can we use the circle of fifths to find what scales/keys sounds good together?

Very helpful lesson for a guitar beginner. I get it! Resolving is like having an orgasm. THe resolve is the "orgasm" of a song... Got it!
