I always did like the longer LP version of this song verses the short 45 version. It was and still is one of my favorites in the jazz genre. My mom's late boyfriend used to have "Winelight" on cassette and it was one cassette that I used to borrow and listen to quite often. Some people prefer the 45 version, but I always say "keep the music going." Also love the sax sound on this. Reminds me of Ralph Ravenscroft's sax on the Gerry Rafferty's songs "Baker Street," and "Get It Right Next Time." Not to mention Junior Walker's sax solos on Foreigner's song "Urgent."9 years ago
