The more I hear this song, in various versions, the more affecting it becomes. The hairs are standing up on my neck. This is a precious song. It will stand the test of time and I hope Gretchen keeps it in her live repertoire for a long time- it is up there with "Bus to St. Cloud" and the many other superb songs that she has written.10 years ago
