Some people just like making derivative works. In their situation, I imagine it is both fulfilling and more economically sound. Gregorian chanting is a pretty niche genre in today's market, and by doing covers they can get more attention. But I agree, they need to make more originals, because Gregorian is great!

It is a Roman saying referring to the overtaking of Troy by Greeks who left the wooden horse behind as a gift. The few survivors of Troy are supposed too have founded Rome. The village, not the kingdom or the empire.

@Vortexakos A lot of wonderful bands started out getting their original hits in during live shows spaced with covers of other people's songs and continue to perform covers during live shows to this day. It's sort of a "due" to the bands that came before and, in the case of this band, a gimmick that inspired the group's creation. I'd definitely like to see more original work from them myself.
