This song was recorded for the live radio show "Mountain Stage" in Charleston, WV. It is on the LIVE ONE album, but isn't credited as recorded for Mountain Stage. I was there and recall so clearly Larry Groce making that "breakfast" intro. Also, I can hear myself hooting when he talks about kicking his leg out of the sheets! Great song, best version!

My wish is for people to realize that the state of the planet and the well being of humanity as a species is everyone's responsibility. If more people cared about these two very simple responsibilities, the world would be a better place, I can guarantee it.

Thanks for getting back to me. I just think it must be hard to perform for so many years. I still love his early albums, especially "The Iowa Waltz" . Life is hard, but better than death for most of us.

I saw him performing in Sebastopol, CA back in 2005. He seemed really upset and while I loved the music, he just seemed like he really didn't want to be there. It was very disappointing, but honest. He opened his set with a song called "Louisiana 1927" and dedicated it to the very recent victims of Hurricane Katrina.
