The great Ron McKernan. The only really legit white bluesman in my mind. Many others ape it well but he has the SOUL and the Dead has the looseness needed to let it breathe. Also see *Smokestack Lightning,' 'Hard to handle', (Bears choice), 'Turn on your love light' and 'It hurts me too' for more Blues soul! See playing with Duane Allman and Janis J.
