Although my body is young I feel and have always felt my soul has been on this earth a long time. I was born with a fibula deformity and had my foot amputated when I was five. many a time I've felt like an old man with the ailments and struggles that come with being a life long amputee. this song really speaks to me because when I was younger I was unaware of how much being disabled really effects a person in society and in means of self-worth. plenty of times I find myself haunted by the "what could have been" or "If I was born normal" thoughts and this song tells me that you don't have to fight everything alone all the time, that it's okay to need someone to hold, to feel at peace with yourself and the world. I don't know why I'm writing this or why I post this. I just feel that I had to say it.
