Very brave men indeed. They were mostly younger guys with their whole lives ahead. The day The Edmund Fitzgerald went missing, I was in 7th grade. Our teacher gave us a day with no school-work so we could all pray the men would be found alive. The next day was Rememberance Day here in Canada, so we had no school for three days. When we returned to school, our teacher told us The Edmund Fitzgerald had been lost, and he literally burst into tears, as his father worked on an ore carrier back in the 40's-50's. A very sad day indeed. And such a beautiful, heartfelt song. Thanks for uploading!
