OK--I'm sorry, but one of my least favorite Lightfoot songs, even though it was a mega-hit. Still love Gord and 95% of all his songs--Shot in Hanford, CA 10/16/08

@fcernig33 Saw Gordon around this same time and I got to say the band sounded awesome. Maybe the video sound quality doesn't do the instruments justice. Later we ran into the whole band at the hotel bar and had a few rounds with them. I got to spend time talking to Barry He was really a great guy to talk to. I believe he told me that the newest member of the band joined in 1983. He had some great stories of going to Bob Dylan's house for a party and meeting all kinds of legends of music.

Considering the fact he has suffered an Abdominal aneurysm, underwent a tracheotomy, and survived a stroke, I think he's doing pretty well here. Let the man do what he loves to do, I'd still go see him.

It's funny but this is a song that Gordon's fans seem to either really like or not like. I believe I saw an interview where Lightfoot said that he didn't particularly like this song himself. I sure do, though!

No need to be sorry. I actually like this song and, like you, most of his other songs too. Gordon is a class-act and a great guy. I hope he's around for a long time. Thanks for posting this.

Barry Keane's been with Gord for God knows how long, and it's not the sort of song where the drums can go all over the place
