His voice used to have so much power. I think also as he aged, his style of singing changed more than his voice did. He seemed to clip his words more. I preferred the earlier Gord....sorry Gord..lol.

Only Gordon Lightfoot could compose and perform such a BEAUTIFUL and HAUNTING ballad. I feel like I'm standing on the bank of the Rio Grande under a blanket of stars whenever I listen to it. Definitely one of my favourites.
