Dedication to a proud Canadian. This is what Canada is about so I made this video (I appear in it briefly too). I've never seen an actual video of this song so I compliled one based on our trip across country and various other footage collected over the years.

I grew up with Lightfoot's music, among the great folk/folk-rock bards.

Love this style of my idea of power ballads. Gordy has been my favorite story teller, Music artist for better part of 35, 40 yrs. It will be a sad for all of Canada when, Gordy day is done. There is None (music artist) that can or could out do Him. That is just my opinion.

This is a tribute to the Canadian worker, but those from other countries will understand.

Very good... I identify with Gord's lyrics, although I am in England. ( He was here in the 1960s, on BBC TV. ) Saw him ( for the first time ) in 2008. Brilliant !!

Almost mistook him for Jerry Reed for a moment but what a great voice he had in the 60's! That's the 1st time I heard any of his earlier works. Sounded like a bit of folk influence in this one & it's patriotic in its own way. Real good.

this video is from a cbc special about expo 67 in montreal(all you canucks of course know that was centennial year, and a big deal at the time)-the other song he did on this show was "Canadian Railroad Trilogy"which is a veritable folk-lore masterpiece, imho. That song was specially commissioned by a cbc staff producer,I can't recall the name.I saw a documentary about it.I'm a huge lightfoot fan,myself-my mom played all his records when I was a kid.I have heard "Crossroads" somewhere before(album?)
