You're right. In an acoustic song you can't jump so much. It's a slow song, a calm song. You can't jump like in Let yourself go or American Idiot. And he jumped a lot in 2 hours. He can't always jump. I think he is glad that there is a calm song between all the song.

First of all you did say he was a bad singer and he does sound a little strained but he probably wore out his voice, he's not a perfect singer like Roger Daltrey or David Coverdale who probably know how to sing like that without losing their voices, something he may not be good at.
