I bet you never called anybody a pussy in person. You probably haven't. Don't even answer it because I know you haven't. If you do, you'll probably end up on youtube being infamous for getting man handled.

HIs voice sounds the same, the music sounds a little different, but what do I know, it still sounds amazing. I mean it's John Rzeznik people!

It's because it's too straining for his voice I guess. He CAN hit the notes but only when he's fully warmed up and don't have to sing more than 1-2 songs. But today it's more a question of his voice getting used up, so instead of doing an Axl Rose and have a 10-minute break between each song, they just tune it a step down or so.

i'm just curious why they play their songs in different tunings for live shows? is it because johnny can't sing on the same tune as the recorded versions or it's just his tunings are too different from one another?

Eh, they softened a song that wasn't meant to be soft, it's supposed to have rough, sharp edges, feel the anger and depression creeping into his voice. They have other songs that are pop-sy and uplifting, trying to bring that approach to this feels like some half-assed bastardization. Watered down, neutered GGDs song... thanks but no thanks.
