Not sure why people care so much what genre someone calls something, but anyone alive at the time this came out knows there was a big crossover between Ministry and other industrial metal to Godflesh. So maybe it pisses you off that this gets called industrial, but that's pretty much who was listening to it then... Industrial fans.

Ok +Alessio Biancalana manca una categoria industrial ;-) Oggi mi tornava in mente questo pezzo, di brutto. Justin Broaderick is the boss.

Yeah, Godflesh are influenced by it, but are a whole other beast entirely. The only other group at the time that sounded like they in terms of heaviness (other than the aforementioned Swans, Melvins, and Neurosis) was Fudge Tunnel. I'd recommend Hate Songs in E Minor to any Godflesh fan.

Anyone who call Godflesh "Industrial", doesn't know the basics of music history circa 1974-1980

Throbbing Gristle, SPK, Cabaret Voltaire, Coil, Nurse With Wound, Neubauten, Foetus, early Swans. that stuff is real industrial, JKB took elements of those band and added the doomy/sludgey sound of the Melvins/Sabbath to create his sound. He basically got tired of grindcore, so he did the exact opposite of fast and grindy shit. I just call em "robotic sludge" since they sound like Neurosis/Melvins but robotic.

Man you really are a hipster. "Music has to have art and bring about the overthrow of the bourgeoisie to be deep enough for me to like it." "Bands that sound good like ACDC suck because other people like them." How is fucking Blue Jean deep? Oh, yeah, it's not.

HAHAHAHA Bowie is soooo deep though. Oh and Cooper. School's out! Holy shit, soo fucking intellectual.

I've never heard Motorhead or the Cure played on the radio, you must live in NYC or something. And if Bowie has a unique sound then ACDC are creative geniuses. Aerosmith sounds like everything else on the radio, point me to another band that sounds like ACDC with the vocal delivery, style or exact song structure. Whenever i hear them on the radio, they stick out from all the other garbage that sounds alike. Tell me honestly you couldn't recognize an ACDC song when it came on.
