Songs Of Love And Hate (1996):
A very different approach and sound, leaving their metal sound behind that they've been known for. Yet again a third band member was included. Brian (brain) Mantia played live drums for the first time on a Godflesh record. He left before the tour, to be replaced by Ted Parsons of the band Prong. The band begins to incorporate more dance beats again and the drumming adds a lot to the sound.

I agree, it's powerful. Benny's bass-lines are incredible here, Brian Mantia on drums--hard to get better than that other than with Dalton & Parsons.12 years ago

40 years old come june.... I will never forget the first time I heard godflesh. I was in a CD bar (nor-cal, listen to anything in store, with the hopes you buy something). For whatever reason the name Godflesh had been tossed out there: to this day I can't remember what tracks i heart but it f'ing changed my view of music, Period.13 years ago
