Sometimes I need this song when times get hard. My wife has stayed by my side through me losing my Firefighting/Emt career because of shattered L4-S1 discs that put me in a wheelchair for 6 months. She held my hand for every single step of the way when I had a double lumbar fusion. I was crying and screaming through the worst pain in my life while learning how to walk entirely over again. I didn't sleep for 4 days after my surgery and the only time she would sleep was when I was pretending to be asleep myself.I was 21 when I was hurt, I'm 24 now and there still isn't a day without pain and suffering. My wife is a nurse and without her and our son I would not be alive today. I came so close to giving up on life because of the suffering. But then I would look at the family I have created and I know I couldn't put them through that kind of loss. I would gladly lay down my life to give them the world but to them I am everything. Your life is not set in stone and you need to cherish every single moment.I might not be perfect but I would do anything for my Wife and my son.
