That would be the interpretation for this play. If one compares the same verse for most if not all versions of the bible, there is still no conformation to what the offence was. In Egypt, sexuality seemed to be quite open, infact Egyptian gods had sexually identifying qualities. So homosexuality might not be the most plausible.

I always wondered this, and just looked it up; They "offended their Lord, the Pharaoh" (Genesis 40). It's never stated what they actually DID. Maybe there was a plot to poison pharaoh and they were implicated?
