If you think it over this was the pop music in the 30s and 40s. It took a lot of musicianship to play it right. And now compare that to today´s pop music, I mean rap, techno, most of R&B stuff etc. it´s really poor in comparison, there so many amateurs around and lousy compositions as well - if you can call that compositions ....
