I hope Gould has met Bach. And I'm sure they (would) have a lot to talk about.

Imagine if Gould had met Bach! Well I suppose maybe he has?Only Gould could express to him what a phenomenal landmark Bach has been in human thought.Someone else has said that we could leave the achievements of Newton or Einstein as a testament to human achievement. - To leave Bach would just be showing off!

Measure 9 second beat is marked mf. Seems like it's being played at f instead. Could this be a byproduct of the heavy attack or has he given his mf a bit of an espresso shot?

He looks like a mad genius that they let out of his cell every now and then to play piano.

Gould was known for his erratic driving and in 1958, he ended up in court in Beaverton Ontario for skidding into a truck. Gould once said of his driving “I suppose it can be said that I’m an absent-minded driver… It’s true that I’ve driven through a number of red lights on occasion, but on the other hand, I’ve stopped at a lot of green ones but never gotten credit for it.” Gould was clearly one of, if not the very best interpreter of Bach, living or dead.
