Fantastic stuff there mate. Gibert is boss. A mate of mine, Paul McCoy won an episode of Stars In Their Eyes in 1996 doing Gilbert. He did pretty well in the Grand Final too but didn't win it. I think it was the year a Marti Pellow won it. Great stuff anyway mate and thanks for doing it.

@ThePeacepoet That`s good to hear . The greatest hits collections are always a good starting point of course . Many of his lesser known album tracks are just as good the ` hits` as you will have discovered ! My favourite album is OFF CENTRE from 1980 .

@mohawk3881 I know I said I was given a "greatest hits" but I have since brought most of his albums. I tend to do that if I really like an artist. My favourite is Im a writer not a fighter :).

@ThePeacepoet It`great to know that new generations are still discovering the magic of Gilbert . And thanks for the encouraging words - I`m just trying to let people know that there`s much more to Gilbert than the ` Greatest Hits ` that are associated with him . We can`t control what`s played on the radio unfortunatley but youtube is a great way of getting material heard that people may not otherwise hear. If that sparks off an interest in Gilberts work then it`s worthwhile doing !

I was born in 1979 and I only discovered Gibert about two years ago when a friend gave me a greatest hits collection. What a fantastic present it was ! I love his work and I love the work you have done on You tube.

@NEVERMORExxxxx You were born in 1980 ? I suddenly feel very old - I have socks older than that ! lol It`s a testament to the quality of his work that people who weren`t even around at the start of his career can still pick up on his music now .

@glennirish Thanks - they are both familiar videos but it`s nice to see them together . Wouldn`t it be great to have a `Greatest Hits` DVD with a dozen or so of these videos together ? Long overdue - you can get them for almost any other artist but not Gilbert . Things never get much better for Gilbert fans !

@NEVERMORExxxxx He does look very young - but when you consider these videos are 40 years old it isn`t suprising ! If you didn`t know these videos were from the 1970`s you could never guess - he was so DIFFERENT from everything else we associate with the Seventies .
