A great ballad from what I believe is Gilbert`s best album - OFF CENTRE from 1980 . He has recorded many great albums since, but I think this was his finest hour .The album is most famous for producing the hit single ` What`s in a Kiss ` but the whole album is brilliant . If you haven`t got this album get it - sell your Grand Mother to raise the money if you have to ! The pictures here are all record covers and promotional material from the time. The most interesting thing about this video are the live footage excerpts - these are from a BBC `Off Centre ` TV Special Gilbert did in 1980 and they prove that the BBC STILL HAVE that show in great quality ! @55555jgn Yes Hans the other version is good , but I think this arrangement fits the mood of the song better . Wouldn`t it be great to see that OFF CENTRE Special on the TV again ? The BBC showed the 1971 IN CONCERT show so it`s possibe !14 years ago

@RAYalized Thanks Nicole . Everyone will have their own opinion about his best album but this has always been mine. 30 years old and sounds like it could have been recorded yesterday . It`s funny how you can`t label his music to a particular decade . He is so original. His Seventies music didn`t sound like Seventies music , his Eighties music didn`t sound like Eighties music , his Nineties music ....... well , it just goes on . He just sounds like ` himself ` - so different from everything else14 years ago
