From 1968, real title (Mama Come Quick and Bring Your) Lickin' Stick. This record was huge in Pittsburgh, still gets radio play today. Don't know anything about George Torrence, but he kept us pounding the floor with this one. It's got an infectious beat and humor to go with it. A real Pittsburgh Pounder as we say. Dance to that Funky Beat!

George Torrence is from Washington DC and began singing doo-wop as early as 1954. By 1967 he fronted the Naturals when he recorded "Lickin' Stick", the group's only single. In the 90's George went into the ministry, founding a church in Duncan OK. He's made a number of gospel cds under his birth name, George Nowlin.
