Excellent 1978 cover version of the 1956 Bo Diddley R&B classic! Love the gritty Blues-Rock feel of this version! Also a big fan of Juicy Lucy's hard rock cover from 1969 - a song that works well in any Blues or Rock format!I wasn't born til 1980 so missed out on all these acts but was a huge fan of George Thorogood in my student days, hearing all the classic tunes again reminds me of being a free spirit of age 18 to 21 - while everyone else was raving about '90s Eurodance (no pun intended) I was shaking my greasy mane of long brown hair around, head-banging, playing air guitar and listening to all the classic Rock and Blues tunes I was still discovering at the time - Thorogood, The Rolling Stones, Canned Heat, Juicy Lucy, Traffic, Spencer Davies Group, The Steve Miller Band, The Doors, Jimi Hendrix etc. (still some of my favourites now), and getting absolutely wasted as often as possible into the bargain too... Now I'm a 35 year-old Local Government Officer / Territorial Army soldier, engaged, with a little boy who is fast becoming a fan of these awesome tunes, and have gone bald too, thus ultimately ending my head-banging days... But those great memories will never depart, and introducing my fiancee and 3-year-old son to some classic John Lee Hooker, Bo Diddley etc.., as well as all the acts who they influenced, and seeing them enjoy it as much as I did some 14 to 17 years back, is making this growing up lark a real pleasure! :-) Thank you for sharing!
