Never get tired of this the greatest version of this Irving Berlin classic to have ever been recorded with George Olsen at the zenith of his career and the great Paul Small on the vocal!

There are lots of wonderful Hollywood movie from the '30s but does any of them compare in human depth with, say, Raging Bull?

the sounds of great orchestras in the EARLY 1930s, just doesn't get any better than that. I never tire of those sweet dance bands from that period.

This song summons up what it´s all about and this version is only inferior to two or three others - my favourite one is Anette Henshaw´s. I think it´s Berlin´s best because of the way it modulates and builds up to a climax (if this is not too high-brow!).

This sound is amazing. The year of 1932 was very good to music. The large sound and arrangements gave the early part of that decade something to be proud of! Even though this song has no real meaning for me, its melody and sound takes me places. Love this song of Olsen's. Beautiful doesn't come close to describing it!

Nearly every side of George Olsen's orchestra is grade A, from what i've heard.

I have to respond again to this- after listening to it many times.- Just a classic all around- Berlin's standard- he was a musical genius and this song shows his brilliance- a sophisticated and elegant arrangement and wonderful music by Olsen who was never better. The video visuals are beautiful, appropriate, and memorable and as classic as the music. can't thank you enough for this- I've long been an admirer of Olsen but this raises his art to a new level. Thanks so much- Bill in Canada

Wonderful song, wonderful sound, wonderful band. What a marvellous decade was the thirties, despite depression. The greatest hollywood movies and much of the classic popular music. Thanks for this. -Bill

Added to my 1932 playlist, Tommy, I see your new, welcome! I've made playlists for every year from 1900 to today, music like this, to take a trip back in time to any past year. Relive the sounds of the day with the click of your mouse. I'm always adding to the lists, goal is to make each play at least 2 hours. Enjoy!!!

One of the greatest songs of all time,I tear up as it mirrors my own life experience and the sadness of George and Ethel's failed marriage.Irving Berlin truly was a musical genius and that is so!!!!
