He sings with genuine soul. Like the other Beatles, he was a giant talent on his own.

Goerge kept having problems with his voice. I've heard excellent performances from the Japan tour, whereas here he struggles.Probably because his voice had lowered a few tones after the early 70s, he said so himself. Anyway, lots of big stars struggle live.

not only that, it inspires the performer. Once I was at a concert and the performer spoke badly of the people he could see who weren't clapping or singing.

I know the clapping may be annoying here, but in concerts it helps you get into the music. It makes the live experience much better when you move your body and clap to the beat. At least that's the way I feel

George really came into his own after leaving the Beatles. And with some arranging help from Phil Spector on the album "All Things Must Pass", from which this song is taken, his first recording was a huge success. His spiritual journey really did change him, and also many people that followed him and his music. His later efforts toward the end with Tom Petty, Bob Dylan, Jeff Lynne, and Roy Orbison in the group "The Travelling Wilburys" were well worth listening to as well.
