Dedicated to Wes Montgomery who died young. Benson tributes his style to Wes. Outstanding tribute and similar style of Wes. Benson speeds up tempo and little more cleaner but still has same style. Great Job George.

The best smooth jazz song in the 1970s, in honor of a jazz guitarist who is a little bit like "Les Paul" - Wes Montgomery. But there is something more: Ralph Macdonald's cowbell on his timbale set and Harvey Mason's joyful drumset work is lively, uttering what I call "disco-twinged smooth jazz" - that is, Harvey does a disco backbeat on the high-hat (closed, open) and the ride cymbal in some cases, in honor of the disco era.
